Well. They do say that the best defense is a good offense.
MS. HOUSTON APPARENTLY DOESN'T NEED TO ADHERE TO STUDENT DISABILITY LAWS, ACCORDING TO HER. Being hospitalized? Yeah, doesn't mean she has to let us make up work! :DDD It's not even just me! SHE'S DONE THIS WITH AT LEAST TWO STUDENTS.
So really, this is the last straw. If any of you have had problems with her, please write up eloquent G-rated complaints. Please only try to keep this about what she has done to you
personally. Hearsay will not help our case. Along with a few other upperclassmen, I plan on going to speak to Dr. Jones by the end of the week. If you could give me your complaints at school or email them to firstname.lastname@example.org
, I would really super appreciate it. I'd prefer not to just go to Dr. Jones with 'I heard this', 'I heard that'. (Also, tell your friends~. I know that she's been horrible to a lot of kids.) If any of the juniors or seniors would like to help me put together a pitch for Dr. Jones, I'd really appreciate it. I don't really want to go see him alone. Not nearly so imposing that way.
This woman needs to be stopped. I have seen her make kids cry more times than I'd care to relate, and have been offended in every way possible. So. Write up complaints. Try to be specific. We'll try to make the administration see this our way. >.> Lord knows that enough teachers leave--may as well be one that needs to this time.
THANKS VERY MUCH.
PS AND EDIT: ALSO GUYS, plz to not be telling her we're doing this? It would not be conducive to happy-fun class periods. Current Mood: aggravated

Post-metal legend Isis's defining album. Download it; listen to it. Yes, there is minimal 'screaming', but it adds to the songs. Music doesn't get any more epic than this.

Man, this community is so dead.
If anyone's still watchin' this, I'm gonna post here first that the anime club is back in business, and that it's gonna be held at the Hafer house from now on. If you're interested, or if you just wanna see if we crash and burn, I've written up a message board for the club, and that's where I'll be posting all of the club information.http://otakubu.iforumer.com
You're welcome to come, so long as you still actually attend our school. o.o Or if you're at least in high school still and ya wanna come hang out.

Bye kids, it's been fun.

from the management.
we are not getting our schedules until the first day of school. (silly idea.)
utilizing edline is the smartest way to go about getting them ahead of time.
home room is now between third and fourth period.
i'm not sure how this rumor was started, but linda evans is most definitely still working at MSA.
see you guys in a week.

I just found out that schedules can be seen on Edline if you have a username and password. It only shows me six of my classes, but it's still a greatttt thing. Just thought I should announce it for those of you who don't know about that.

All in all I have not really been happy with the Art program at MSA. Ms. (Or should I say Mrs. now?) Seydel was trying hard, but all in all it's nothing I can't do on my own. There are no models, we can't use oil paints, and the foundations and lessons the kids should be learning just aren't present. Not to mention the lack of an AP course or something. We are an art school and yet most public schools even have an AP art course, where kids don't sit and talk and act stupid all day.
Either way, I am contemplating going to Palmetto. I don't know anyone my age withing about 3 miles. I haven't gone to a "friends house" or "out to play" or "to the movies or the mall or the beach or just to hang out" in far too long. There are only like 350 Highschoolers at MSA, about half I never see. The middle schoolers are a bigger pest than I have realized. The school busses are just hell to go through, 3 complete different busses, having to leave an hour and half before school starts, then waiting for a bus to arrive in the afternoon, then being the last stop. No thanks.
Palmetto, among all the bad I've "heard" about it, offers enough good for me to stand any gang violence or racism or bad teachers, if there are really any there. Palmetto offers me
-Equivilant art program
-more time after school for a Job, or to work on art
-an Art club, which I can contribute to. No teachers at MSA have the time to sponsor a club.
-more enjoyable hours
-Friends are much closer to home
-no middle schoolers
-no middle schoolers
-no middle schoolers
-More experiences to enjoy with friends, who live closer.
Alot of people don't realize that art is storytelling, so what fun is it with no stories to tell? I never have fun any more unless I'm doing art or playing Counter-strike late at night. I talk to some people alot, but we still never hang out. The last really fun thing I did with anyone in recent memory was the summer a year ago, there was a beach party with alot of us (Shawn, Subrinea Christopher, David Christopher, Topher, Heather, Juste, etc.) and afterwards I got to go to a party with Andrew Rimer and Bobby. That was the last really fun night I had with people from MSA, and I can't take it anymore!
So if you don't see me around, well, later =)

Attention all MSA students...
Hi...the Hafer kid here.
Mr. Frazier is in the hospital, and is most likely going to die within a couple days. He's apparently had pancreas problems for awhile now, and the stress of being fired really...well. He's been in the ICU for almost 2 weeks now, and has almost complete organ failure.
Um. His mother wanted us to gather up some emails and such from kids that knew him, so if you can, please email something to POLYNESIAH@YAHOO.COM

D: :D :o
-Mrs. Reid's mom has died, for those who haven't heard,
-Mr. Frazier got fired as well. (???)
-And from what I've heard, everyone thinks that Aces High wasn't good. But some did. So I think some people just didn't like the music style. Let's hear opinions about that as well (from anyone who went).
-On the positive end, MC Parks is back! Hooray!
-And who here liked my haircut? I usually don't get comments on it, but today I got a few, so now I'm curious.
Someone bake Mrs. Reid some cookies or brownies or cake or something =) I would, but I can't cook.
Not desserts anyways.
School is fun.
=) Current Mood: Sporty. Played phys ed today!

The Go! Team
!!! I just started listening to these guys last week and they've become one of my (current) favorite bands. I guess if I had
to slap a genre on them, it'd be dancey indiepop, but they're really so much more than that. Don't take my word for it, though, to quote Reading Rainbow.

Well, Spring Break is finally over. I hope everyone had a nice time off from school.
